I’m delighted that two of my favourite programmes to deliver in the Higher Education sector will be retained (and possibly expanded) next year by Advance HE. Advance HE was formed in March 2018 by the merger of the Equality Challenge Unit, the Higher Education Academy and the Leadership Foundation for Higher Education. (LFHE) “Moving History” is a programme I helped devise with my friends and colleagues at Leading Roles, supported by the University of Teesside. It’s a conflict scenario that forms part of the Introduction to Heads of Department training, formerly offered by the LFHE. I’ll be blogging more about Leading Roles next year. The other favourite programme is “Leading Departments” – that includes a longer (4 day) simulation, which I supported Paul Hessey develop several years ago, and which has run twice a year since 2012.
